My Son LOVES This!!!, August 20, 2014

This review is from: Step2 Whisper Ride II, Blue (Toy)
We’ve had this car several months now, and it has proven to be worth every penny. My son loves this so much that he pretty much has a meltdown anytime we force him to ride in just his regular, old-fashioned stroller.

Here’s what I love about this little car:

-convenient cupholder for mom and dad and two cupholders for baby
-handle comes on and off for easy car storage (although we mainly use ours around the neighborhood and don’t transport it often)
-handy storage compartment under the hood (it’s small, but you can stuff a few snacks or small toys or balls in there – I also sometimes tie a reusable shopping bag around the handle so we can tote a few other things with us too)
-easy to steer
-light enough to lug up and down the stairs of our apartment
-cute (people always compliment us on it)
-durable – we’ve had it several months and use it several times a week and haven’t had a single issue.
-secure seatbelt – it just goes around the lap but it gets the job done when our little guy tries to jump ship

I truly have no complaints although I do have one tip… it’s easier to make turns in this if you push down on the handle a bit so all the weight is in the rear wheels.

Buy this now for your little monkey. You won’t be sorry.

However, not every buyer was happy. See what this reviewer had to say.

Cheap and Dangerous!, September 1, 2014
By Hawkswyler “Hawkswyler” (Chicago) – See all my reviews
This review is from: Step2 Whisper Ride II, Blue (Toy)
Assembling this junk is worthy of a trip to the insane asylum, but don’t worry it’s not you it’s this crappy company that would put a feeble product like this in the market place. The wheels are held together by a cap that you have to hammer into place but there’s no way of knowing if the cap has been securely hammered in all the way. After one wheel is attached you then have to figure out a way to attach the other cap with out smashing your fingers to the bone, I stopped and tossed the junk back into the box for a return. We’ll never buy this brand again, cheap, confusing and mostly dangerous.

One reviewer had this to say about this ride toy: Great for toddlers who can’t ride a tricycle yet, July 15, 2014 By Ainka S. – See all my reviews This review is from: Fisher-Price Bright Beginnings Ready Steady Trike (Toy) Great for toddlers who can’t ride a tricycle yet. Great for indoors. Can be a little slippery on very smooth floors such as shined wood floors.

Such an excited boy, June 5, 2014 By Samantha Krenz – See all my reviews This review is from: Fisher-Price Bright Beginnings Ready Steady Trike (Toy) VERY easy to put together.. only 3 pieces, no tools needed. My sons eyes lit up and he was trying to sit in it even before I got it together hahaha LOVE LOVE LOVE it and the perfect toy to help a child learn to push themselves forward on a toy.

This grandparent was pleased with this product’s motor skills development: Great First Trike, June 2, 2014 By Karyn Dutton This review is from: Fisher-Price Bright Beginnings Ready Steady Trike (Toy) I purchased this Trike for my little one year old grandson’s birthday. It is the perfect size and very steady. He loves it!

He is very close to walking and this will help strengthen his legs. Fisher-Price knows what they are doing when it comes to children’s riding toys. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Grandchildren love it and its the first thing they look for when coming to visit. Ages 4 and 6. holds lots of other dinos too. was confused about the 160 though, still don’t know what that refers too. This would make a great gift for a dino lover.

This mom is happy with the purchase but did point out a flaw in the product.

This bin makes a great storage solution and play area for my dinosaur-obsessed 4 year old. All of his little dinosaurs fit inside and the play mat scene is very fun for him. He loves the volcano in the picture. My only complaint is that the material is not very stiff. It holds up well as a storage bin for now but if it gets stepped on or leaned on it my begin to warp and collapse. This is better for children who are gentle with their toys. I have already seen my son step on it and expect it won’t last long as a bin. At least it will still be fun as a play area!

LOVE this toy box!, August 5, 2014 By e_squared – Verified Purchase This review is from: Step2 Lift and Hide Bookcase Storage Chest (Toy) I love this toy box! A fantastic toybox!, January 21, 2011 By C. Otero “A proud military spouse and mommy!” (Fort Drum) – Verified Purchase This review is from: Step2 Lift and Hide Bookcase Storage Chest (Toy) This toybox is bigger than you think, by looking at the pictures. It has *alot* of storage capacity. I love the push and slide feature of the lid. It’s easy for my toddler to handle on her own.

The piece is very sturdy too. Both of my kids have climbed in and out of it, together, and the unit does not budge. We have a real bookcase for children’s books, so we don’t need this piece for book storage. The shelves are not high enough to hold storybooks. Board books would fit fine. But, in our house, the shelves are used for displaying “treasures”. 🙂

This is such an awesome toy!, August 20, 2014 By Rebecca M. This review is from: Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100 Kit (Toy) This is such an awesome toy!! I love it because my kids are learning while they play. The set comes with a book full of circuit builds that have very user-friendly instructions. There is a little “helicopter” spinning top that flies off the board (very lightweight and thin so no issues with safety at all), a music speaker box, lights, etc. Depending on the way you build up the circuits, it can do different things. My 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter LOVE it and can play with it independently. My 4 & 5 year old nieces & nephews also love it but they need a bit of help with assembly. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Great for birthday presents (not too pricey!!) and also has been a fun thing to have in the car for road trips. Whole family loves the snap circuit! Preferred over video games!

Love It!, August 12, 2014 By Leah Doherty – See all my reviews This review is from: Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100 Kit (Toy) I purchased this for my 10 year old and was blown away by the interest that he along with friends have showed in it! This parent has a valid point about toy vs kit Not a Toy, January 15, 2007 By The Laundry Goddess Verified Purchase This review is from: Elenco Electronic Snap Circuits, Jr. Kit (Toy) A great EDUCATIONAL kit, but not really a toy. It took a little one on one time with my son (8yrs) to get him going on this himself. He’s proud of all the projects that he is able to complete. But it would have been helpful to know before hand that this set makes several different types of loud, IRRITATING noise. This kit does not seem to have the lasting entertainment value that other bulding toys have–my son likes to check off each project he has completed, and as he has completed most now…

Daughter LOVES this!, February 6, 2014 By Garden Girl (Pennsylvania) Verified Purchase This review is from: SmartLab Toys Squishy Human Body (Toy) This is the coolest. My 9 year old daughter is so intrigued by it, she loves the feel of the sticky, squishy parts, and the book that came with it is priceless. Great for homeschoolers. Also, works both for science and health class.

To further “health class”, we will look into the affects of smoking on the lungs and body, and she will be able to see what the lungs look like and where they are located. She absolutely loves this product, and if she loves it, so do I, because I strive to find things that make learning fun and enjoyable for her.

This med student bought it for her sister and offers great advice for keeping children interested in learning.

Fun way to teach kids, January 31, 2014 By Gabby Verified Purchase This review is from: SmartLab Toys Squishy Human Body (Toy) As a medical student, I got this for my seven-year-old sister to teach her all about how the body works. Going through each part one at a time, and teaching and quizzing her on each one was a lot of fun, I’m sure she’s the only one in her grade who can give a complete explanation of how the circulatory, digestive, and other systems.

However, this product is only going to be as fun as YOU make it. Instead of lecturing, ask THEM the questions. Where does the food go next!? Why do we even need to eat food? Why do we need to breath? How does the oxygen get to everywhere in the body? That’s more important than the model kit you end up choosing. Also I should mention the bones don’t all stay in very well, and it’s hard to get the squishy organs in the right place, but my sister loved it and kept asking me to teach her more so it’s a perfect tool to spend quality time teaching kids and inspiring curiousity in them. However, this parent was concerned about holding the interest of her son.

Normally a new toy is exciting for a day or two and he’s done, but this still keeps him entertained.

The wheel settings are great, the slower speed allows him to learn to push without the toy running away from him on the wood floors, and the faster speed works great on carpets. I know all babies are different, but for my picky kid (who would rather attempt to play with mommy and daddy’s plain black remote control than the nice, bright, shiny toy remote we bought him), this has been a big hit.

This reviewer is happy that parents were considered when designing this toy. Rare tolerable noisy plastic toy, September 2, 2014 By EmilyP This review is from: VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker I do not like to purchase noisy plastic toys but this one came from the grandparents when my daughter was a baby. Thankfully, the makers of this thing had parents in mind when they added a high/low volume switch as well as an on/off switch.

My daughter enjoyed pushing it around as she learned to walk. She particularly was drawn to the little barn door and would open and shut it for an unbelievable amount of time. As she got older, it was all about that little phone. It would go in the car with us and all over the house, rarely residing in its place on the toy itself.

I liked that the main toy deck could be removed and she enjoyed sitting with it to play on the couch. She became uninterested in it around 18m but it was the only noisy plastic toy that got packed away instead of donated! When my son was 6 months old we dug it out and he was instantly drawn to it just as his sister was. By 7m he was strolling around the house pushing this little toy like he owned the place. It took everything I had not to push him down and pack it away again. If he walks before 9m, I blame this toy!

A classic which still pleases!, August 28, 2014 By Berlee Verified Purchase This review is from: Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Rock-a-Stack (Baby Product) I realize most children start with this toy at a very early age, but we just got this for my 19 month old to share with her new little sister and she won’t stop playing with it. So, I’d say it is a toy which has longevity. I wish the red ring wasn’t the one with the little balls in it, but obvioulsy that doesn’t bother my daughter.
