Great Strategy Game

November 7, 2014

By T.A. Fletcher

The first time I played this wonderful little game I had no idea what I was getting myself into…was pleasantly surprised to find a pretty unique game.

The game itself is relatively simple; a single playthrough should be enough for the average player to figure out the mechanics.

Essentially, each player collects resources, and builds roads and cities. The first player to 10 victory points wins, but every game is different as the board, and therefore the resources available to a particular player, changes every time you play.

All in all a great, entertaining game. I highly recommend it if you are into strategy games.

This reviewer likes that it is easy to learn…

Should have bought it sooner…

I ordered this after having played it once. My parents did the same.

The gameplay is novel, the game itself attractive, and the learning curve is low. It made an impression…

One of the best

November 12, 2014

By Sean Ramsey

One of my favorite board games.

I love the history, I love the gameplay, and most of all I love that you don’t spend a bunch of time waiting for other people to take their turns.

Having everyone take their turns at once is a fantastic game mechanic and when everyone’s familiar with the gameplay the game goes by super fast.

And this reviewer says it’s addictive…

Fun Game (After You Learn How to Play)!

August 30, 2014

By E. Sullivan “Question everything!”

We love this game!

…Once you learn the basics, the game is kind of addictive!

…It’s become so popular for our family game nights that I ordered the expansion kit with extra Wonders.

This review comes from someone with a wide age range in family members…

This game is one of the best board games I’ve seen in a long time! It’s exciting, fresh, and combines an element of strategy and risk-taking.

It makes you think and the game never gets boring. Try buying the expansion packs for added fun!!

Totally recommend this game for kids and adults!!

Fun game. Easy to learn and teach new people

September 7, 2014

By John Hereford

Fun game. Easy to learn and teach new people.

Plenty of variety in gameplay by changing out which cards you use each game.

Also easy to play while half distracted with conversation (or watching young children).

Qwirkle Board Game

Are you ready to step up your matching game?

Qwirkle is a great way for all ages to play together

By Lauren A. Smart

June 11, 2008

…We’re able to play it with our 4 & 7 yr old which has been great.

…It relies on choices and thinking ahead similar to domino’s in my opinion. It’s been a good game for our family.

Simon Swipe Game

The Simon Swipe game is an updated version of the classic Simon.

Simon Swipe has a lightweight electronic design,  touchscreen technology and four different games to play, including the classic Simon.

This reviewer likes that the whole family can play but says the classic is best…

Swiping raises the difficulty, revert to classic mode if it frustrates you

October 23, 2014

By LegoGirl

Our family gatherings have adults and kids in a wide range of ages, so I thought this “new” Simon would be a fun way we could all play together.

… it was a great way to pass the time with a mixed group—once we reverted to using the classic (tap) mode exclusively.

…It’s a neat “upgrade” to the old tried-and-true Simon game, but there is a definite learning curve to using it.

This buyer says it keeps minds off video games…

Mind Swipe

Bought this for my 13 year old son who loves challenges. This really has him busy and keeps his mind off the video games at times…

And this reviewer says it still challenges memory…

This is a fun twist on the old Simon game

August 25, 2014

By B.L.

On the whole, this is a fun twist on the old Simon game.

It adds more complexity to keep things interesting, while still having the basic element of challenging your memory and ultimately never really giving you a shot at winning…

…I kind of like it as a memory training tool that pushes you to work your brain while still being designed to make the experience fun.

This is everything a toy should be!

I love that it is sturdy and it makes my 4 and 5 year old girls think, problem solve and trouble shoot.

Already learning to check and see what direction the blocks are pointed when the marble goes the wrong way. They love to help me put the runs together and enjoy the finished product…

Best building/engineering toy our girls have.

This reviewer likes variety in building choices and also has a suggestion regarding a building surface…

Fun, creative and a crowd pleaser

December 25, 2013

…There are thousands of combinations to be made and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Would suggest a supporting hard surface under the construction as it can be a little tippy, especially for younger children…

And this reviewer is fan of wooden toys…

Educational Fun that will last for decades

October 24, 2013

By Candra C. Georgi “mommy of many”

I love wooden toys…stand the test of time and aggressive play, ha!

…the boys love to build all types of marble creations with them. This one has been a great addition…it is sturdy, colorful, and has different swirls and pieces that keep the boys building for hours.

It’s imagination & invention in one great product. It’s like legos & wooden blocks, but adding elevation and marbles!..

The squeals of joy when my nephew opened this gift for his six birthday were music to my ears.

He assembled this with a little help from his daddy, another Lego boy.

Perfect for the Lego loving Ghostbuster in your life.

This was a challenge for him but he did it pretty much by himself

My 8 year old son loves Ghostbusters.

This was a challenge for him but he did it pretty much by himself.

The pieces are not in numbered bags so it helps to open all the bags and sort the pieces by color

By Enchanted In Dixie “Enchanted”

Not only can you spend time with your child or children having fun, but you can learn together…

When finsihed you will feel so proud of yourself, and then the fun begins

…but this is a hard set that may require adult supervision, and if the adult helps then even 6 year olds can help.

And this reviewer likes that you’re not limited to just building a roller coaster…

Great Toy!!!

September 18, 2014

By guitfiddleblue “guitfiddleblue”

…This set took us about 2 1/2 hours to put together… It’s fun to watch the car move along the track, but the real fun in toys like K’nex..is the ability to tear it down and rebuild something TOTALLY different!…

This reviewer loved the challenge…

Just the Right Amount of “Challenging” …

September 12, 2014

By Dr. E

Sooo, we had this vision of setting up this roller-coaster in about the same amount of time as a Hot Wheels track.

Well, needless to say, not at all. This set requires skill and patience. Both of these are qualities that are well worth learning and instilling.

Therefore, while we had that pang of “Oh no. This looks like a project,” it turns out a “project” can be tremendous fun. (Of course!)…
