A fantastic toybox!, January 21, 2011 By C. Otero “A proud military spouse and mommy!” (Fort Drum) – Verified Purchase This review is from: Step2 Lift and Hide Bookcase Storage Chest (Toy) This toybox is bigger than you think, by looking at the pictures. It has *alot* of storage capacity. I love the push and slide feature of the lid. It’s easy for my toddler to handle on her own.

The piece is very sturdy too. Both of my kids have climbed in and out of it, together, and the unit does not budge. We have a real bookcase for children’s books, so we don’t need this piece for book storage. The shelves are not high enough to hold storybooks. Board books would fit fine. But, in our house, the shelves are used for displaying “treasures”. 🙂

This is such an awesome toy!, August 20, 2014 By Rebecca M. This review is from: Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100 Kit (Toy) This is such an awesome toy!! I love it because my kids are learning while they play. The set comes with a book full of circuit builds that have very user-friendly instructions. There is a little “helicopter” spinning top that flies off the board (very lightweight and thin so no issues with safety at all), a music speaker box, lights, etc. Depending on the way you build up the circuits, it can do different things. My 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter LOVE it and can play with it independently. My 4 & 5 year old nieces & nephews also love it but they need a bit of help with assembly. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Great for birthday presents (not too pricey!!) and also has been a fun thing to have in the car for road trips. Whole family loves the snap circuit! Preferred over video games!

Love It!, August 12, 2014 By Leah Doherty – See all my reviews This review is from: Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100 Kit (Toy) I purchased this for my 10 year old and was blown away by the interest that he along with friends have showed in it! They’ll even choose this over their favorite video games! I look forays to purchasing more kits from snap circuits!

This parent has a valid point about toy vs kit Not a Toy, January 15, 2007 By The Laundry Goddess Verified Purchase This review is from: Elenco Electronic Snap Circuits, Jr. Kit (Toy) A great EDUCATIONAL kit, but not really a toy. It took a little one on one time with my son (8yrs) to get him going on this himself. He’s proud of all the projects that he is able to complete. But it would have been helpful to know before hand that this set makes several different types of loud, IRRITATING noise. This kit does not seem to have the lasting entertainment value that other bulding toys have–my son likes to check off each project he has completed, and as he has completed most now…

Daughter LOVES this!, February 6, 2014 By Garden Girl (Pennsylvania) Verified Purchase This review is from: SmartLab Toys Squishy Human Body (Toy) This is the coolest. My 9 year old daughter is so intrigued by it, she loves the feel of the sticky, squishy parts, and the book that came with it is priceless. Great for homeschoolers. Also, works both for science and health class.

To further “health class”, we will look into the affects of smoking on the lungs and body, and she will be able to see what the lungs look like and where they are located. She absolutely loves this product, and if she loves it, so do I, because I strive to find things that make learning fun and enjoyable for her.

This med student bought it for her sister and offers great advice for keeping children interested in learning.

Fun way to teach kids, January 31, 2014 By Gabby Verified Purchase This review is from: SmartLab Toys Squishy Human Body (Toy) As a medical student, I got this for my seven-year-old sister to teach her all about how the body works. Going through each part one at a time, and teaching and quizzing her on each one was a lot of fun, I’m sure she’s the only one in her grade who can give a complete explanation of how the circulatory, digestive, and other systems.

However, this product is only going to be as fun as YOU make it. Instead of lecturing, ask THEM the questions. Where does the food go next!? Why do we even need to eat food? Why do we need to breath? How does the oxygen get to everywhere in the body? That’s more important than the model kit you end up choosing. Also I should mention the bones don’t all stay in very well, and it’s hard to get the squishy organs in the right place, but my sister loved it and kept asking me to teach her more so it’s a perfect tool to spend quality time teaching kids and inspiring curiousity in them. However, this parent was concerned about holding the interest of her son.

Interest in this Doesn’t last very long, March 25, 2014 By maggie “2dogwoman” (CA USA) Verified Purchase This review is from: SmartLab Toys Squishy Human Body (Toy) It didn’t hold the interest of my 7-yr-old. Once you take it apart and put it back together, that’s it. You’ve already learned everything it has to teach.

Normally a new toy is exciting for a day or two and he’s done, but this still keeps him entertained.

The wheel settings are great, the slower speed allows him to learn to push without the toy running away from him on the wood floors, and the faster speed works great on carpets. I know all babies are different, but for my picky kid (who would rather attempt to play with mommy and daddy’s plain black remote control than the nice, bright, shiny toy remote we bought him), this has been a big hit.

This reviewer is happy that parents were considered when designing this toy. Rare tolerable noisy plastic toy, September 2, 2014 By EmilyP This review is from: VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker I do not like to purchase noisy plastic toys but this one came from the grandparents when my daughter was a baby. Thankfully, the makers of this thing had parents in mind when they added a high/low volume switch as well as an on/off switch.

My daughter enjoyed pushing it around as she learned to walk. She particularly was drawn to the little barn door and would open and shut it for an unbelievable amount of time. As she got older, it was all about that little phone. It would go in the car with us and all over the house, rarely residing in its place on the toy itself.

I liked that the main toy deck could be removed and she enjoyed sitting with it to play on the couch. She became uninterested in it around 18m but it was the only noisy plastic toy that got packed away instead of donated! When my son was 6 months old we dug it out and he was instantly drawn to it just as his sister was. By 7m he was strolling around the house pushing this little toy like he owned the place. It took everything I had not to push him down and pack it away again. If he walks before 9m, I blame this toy!
